Trail cameras, known by other names such as scouting camera or game camera, have become standard equipment for many hunters. Placing a camera in a spot you want to hunt will let you know if animals are actually coming in to it. In many cases, you can set a blind up by the camera a few months prior to season to allow the animals to become used to it.
