Whether it’s a whitetail, blacktail or mule deer, they all make vocalizations that signify communication. These may be a simple contact call to locate its herd or a buck’s call during the rut. Knowing how to mimic these calls can greatly improve your hunt as it can calm a nervous buck or herd. Once they get close a decoy will also help alleviate some of the nervousness.
