Hunting blinds have many different features, but the main ones include being waterproof, having shoot-through mesh windows and a blackout interior to reduce shadowing and make it harder for animals too see inside the blind. Blinds can be used for big game such as deer and elk as well as for smaller game like turkeys.

Tree stands also come in a variety of styles. Climbing tree stands work well if the trees have very few lower limbs. Ladder tree stands weigh quite a bit and are much more difficult to pack, but if you can drive up to your tree, they are a safe and comfortable option. Hang-on tree stands are also great because you can hang the stand in a tree and leave it, then carry your tree steps or pegs in to the location when you want to use it.
